Hi there, my name is Carol Ann Grigsby-Smith, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My approach to therapy is holistic and integrative. I blend elements of CBT, Mindfulness based approaches which are Client Centered where my patients feel heard and understood. Utilizing and Integrated Care approach includes taking a look at the problem both inward and outward. We all experience stressful things in life, and when there is just too many stressors creating an imbalance it can be difficult to have kindness to ourselves.
I work to help others learn how to be kinder to themselves, solve problems, regulate emotions and feel better about the way they are navigating life.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults with chronic depression, anxiety and overwhelming emotion. I enjoy working with patients that are experiencing changes in their life; divorce, changing careers, going back to school, lifestyle changes. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy and an Integrated Care approach which includes Behavior Change.
