You find yourself constantly feeling like you’re not good enough. People sometimes tell you the opposite, but you have a hard time believing it. You are not sure how it feels to be doing a good job so you find yourself going above and beyond over and have a hard time saying “no”. You don’t know how to appreciate who you are and what you do because when you try, you find yourself feeling guilty and ashamed. It’s easier to just keep overdoing it. El vivir y trabajar en una sociedad muy distinta a la que uno crecio, ser padres de una nueva generacion que no necesariamente se identifca con nuestra cultura o habla el mismo idioma, estar involucrado en una relacion con alguien que desconoce el rol de nuestra cultura, y el vivir lejos de los que uno mas quiere son muchas de los retos de vivir en una sociedad multicultural. Esto puede afectar como nos valoramos, las cosas en la creemos, las metas que nos trazamos y como nos comunicamos con los demas. El sentirse parte de algo desconocido no es facil, es un proceso que toma tiempo y mi trabajo es ayudarlo.

Mi meta es ayudarlo a entender la situación por la que este pasando honrando su propia cultura e idioma de tal manera que encuentre la fortaleza para para valorarse, comunicarse con los demas, sentir que ser parte de algo nuevo o diferente no es malo sino que crea una oprutnidad para seguir creciendo de manera personal y emocional.

Naci y creci en Lima, Peru. Como mujer, madre y profesional, una de mis fortalezas es utilizar mi entrenamiento clínico en combinación con mi propia experiencia de vida para ayudar a quienes buscan hacer en cambio en sus vidas. No es un proceso fácil, pero definitivamente es satisfactorio. No estas solo.
