I take a lot of pride in the work I get to do with clients. I genuinely consider it an honor for folks to let me into their lives and trust that I can support them through the tough times. The world is chaotic and our more immediate worlds can get jostled around by it all. I don't claim to be able to help everyone I work with, because I don't know if that always feels realistic to the struggles at hand. However, I can promise to offer acceptance, support, empathy, and care so that you don't feel as alone or untethered. I understand that many people want to make changes, and we can work towards that with kindness and compassion.
I'm an integrative feminist therapist who likes to focus on a person's strengths. Positive psychology (not toxic positivity) guides a lot of this because it is often the joys that motivate us better. I integrate from other theoretical approaches to tailor to a client's specific goals and I try to utilize a little humor as we learn about our authentic selves.
