I am an EMDR trained therapist with a Ph.D., in Counseling Psychology from Andrews University, an APA accredited program. I approach mental health and emotional wellness from an insight oriented perspective. I believe that an understanding of one’s early childhood environment is essential to an understanding of one’s functioning in adulthood. It allows clients to gain insight into their anxieties, depression, mood dysregulation, emotional problems, and inner conflicts.
I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults who seek to better understand themselves and achieve greater insight into their psychological make-up and how it affects their lives. I view clients’ psychological symptoms as an attempt to communicate something essential and understandable about their specific suffering, worries and fears.

My clients connect with me quite easily and become more and more committed to treatment.
