I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate in the state of North Carolina. With over 8 years of experience in the mental health and addiction field, I have been trained in a variety of treatment modalities to assist individuals and their families. I earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Walden University in Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, San German campus. I treat mental health issues including depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, grief/loss, family issues, addiction and substance abuse.
I am passionate about meeting people where they are and validating individuals’ emotional experiences as they experience them. I focus on assisting individuals increasing awareness of their strengths and how to use them to improve overall functioning. I assist individuals increasing resiliency and coping skills to overcome challenges/barriers.
As your provider, I will provide the emotional support and understanding needed in a non-judgmental environment to assist you using your strengths/skills to manage distress and learn additional to skills to deal with future situations.
