Sometimes emotions and experiences are hard to speak, see and feel. As someone who wishes to support those sitting in front of me in whatever their struggle is, I think deep listening requires getting involved in how life is right now and maybe how it's always been, or felt. That means, I really want to know how you experience your life. Sometimes learning this involves different ways of understanding through your words and ideas, but also sometimes it involves being seen in your everyday struggle. This process can be vulnerable, frustrating, and liberating to see more clearly. Connection, acceptance and empathy bring peace of mind.
My approach to therapy considers psychodynamics, attachment style, developmental and experiential trauma history as well as your culture, identity, and childhood.
