Congratulations on your pursuit of self study! This step is a brave one. As a therapist, I adhere to the philosophy that you have all of the wisdom you need, my goal is to help you uncover it for yourself. I want to walk alongside you in your journey toward self-understanding, self-awareness, and self-compassion; a journey that will hopefully be incorporated throughout a lifetime. Rather than hate away the parts of ourselves we've deemed problematic, we will begin to understand how these parts likely kept us safe in an unsafe world. Together, we will nurture these parts, which will allow them to soften their grip over our reality.
I am a Contemplative Psychotherapist who studied Buddhist Psychology and we will use mindfulness, humor and compassion as tools for healing. As a Jewish, queer woman, I understand the complexities of intergenerational trauma and C-PTSD. My practices as a yoga teacher and meditator will influence our work together. I'm trained in EMDR and PACT informed.
I believe that all healing is intrinsically linked. The work we do together here will invariably contribute to our collective liberation. This work incredibly hard, but joy and suffering are not separate. The more capacity we gain to be with our suffering will also open the doorway to greater depths of joy.
