My name is Carla Nuñez, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have extensive experience working in both community mental health and school-based mental health. My goal is to provide a culturally sensitive, supportive, curious, compassionate, and reflective space for you to explore your inner selves and overcome personal challenges. I don't believe that our goal in life should be to live in constant happiness, but to live filled with ease and contentment even in the most challenging times. My approach in this journey is holistic and collaborative. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and change.
You're the expert in your journey, I'm always client centered. I come to walk alongside you, provide various forms of support, and hold space for all the feelings that come up. I work with you to identify short-term and long-term goals. We develop a personalized treatment plan, that evolves with treatment.
We celebrate all wins- no matter how big or small- to not only identify cycles that are being broken, but ancestral strength and wisdom paving the way. I incorporate a variety of techniques, including (but not limited to) attachment theory, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
