I practice from a very "client-centered" theoretical base and believe that clients are the expert on their problems. However, sometimes during crises, clients often forget that they have the skills and abilities to cope effectively. Therapy consists of helping clients assess their strengths and abilities and maximize their full potential to cope while facing life's challenges, turning these into strengths! Also, when suffering from Anxiety, I offer children, adolescents and adults specialized sessions based on Hypnosis principles to learn effective ways to cope.
When appropriate, I record Hypnotherapy sessions on the client's own recording device for their use repetitively after sessions. This is often helpful with clients who suffer intrusive symptoms associated with PTSD. Life can be better and clients can change with the right combination of compassion, motivation & skills-based therapy.
