I've passionately served the NM queer community for over a decade. I enjoy working with adults in the areas of generalized and social anxiety, trauma, depression, change of life/adjustment issues, grief & loss, and LGBTQ+ concerns (coming out, gender identity, transitioning, living an authentic life).
I'm largely a Person-Centered therapist. This means that my goal is to hold space so you can feel heard and supported with non-judgment, positive regard, and a belief in your intrinsic value and strengths. I infuse other modalities as needed such as CBT, CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), Insight-oriented, and Solution-focused approaches as well.
Carl Rogers wrote, "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." I believe this to be true of the therapeutic relationship as well. Together we can work toward establishing your goals, and addressing any blocks in your path to achieving them.
