I have over 30 years of mental health therapy experience. I have a general practice with an emphasis on family issues, including adolescents, couples therapy and substance abuse. I provide a laid back atmosphere for therapy that is both welcoming and warm to make each client feel comfortable.
My primary mode of treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy. This is an approach that focuses on changing thoughts, feelings and behaviors. This is an effective means of treatment that addresses various issues and changes that people encounter. The outcome is increased ability to cope and adjust with these life transitions.
Having experienced many life transitions myself, such as being a cancer survivor, grief with loss of family and raising two daughters I personally know life's challenges.
