Hello, my name is Dr. Caridad Lyons McDonald, but you can call me "Dr. Mac." I am a Psychologist with a PhD in Psychology and a Licensed Mental Health Therapist. I help my clients to emphasize empowerment and self-acceptance in their lives. I work together with adolescents, and adults to help them stride towards controlling behavioral or emotional patterns that cause significant impairment in personal functioning, within the family, work, or school environment.
My style of providing therapy for clients resembles an integrated approach. I usually fluctuate with Brief Solution Focused, Client-centered, CBT, and DBT. It really depends on the client's presentation and the focus of their goals.
I mostly work with individuals living with mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also meet with couples and families who may be struggling with communication deficits.
