It's not easy to find a therapist so I hope that what I tell you about me and the way I work will make it easier. I help people resolve anxiety and depression, particularly in the context of LGBTQ issues, problematic governmental leadership, pandemic related anxiety/isolation, self-esteem, body-image, creative blocks, sexual/relational difficulties. I'm down to earth, easy to talk to, non-judgmental and interactive. I work to minimize and overcome the shame and self-blame people frequently feel. All backgrounds/lifestyles are welcome. I create a safe environment for individuals and couples. Skype and phone sessions available.
I help people to become increasingly able to identify, manage, and overcome obstacles and debilitating thought processes. My art background (MFA), provides insight into the creative mind and temperament. Individuals become conscious of the critical self-talk that causes anxiety and inhibits creativity. Individuals increase productivity and confidence.
As an active participant in treatment, I offer guidance, support, and the tools you'll need to make change happen. I believe in the human capacity for growth. Working within a positive therapeutic alliance can make tomorrow significantly better than today.
