My ideal client is motivated to partner with me in a plan of healing and change. He/She is receptive to natural methods of healing which include stress management and nutritional awareness. This client has some awareness into the problems and is eager for more insight. Use of various methods as well as art therapy are very helpful to this persons continued desire to free themselves from unconscious blockage.
My orientation is primarily holistic, honoring the whole person. I use a strength based model as well as creativity to help build self-worth & empowerment. I prefer to view all people as having the capacity for greater wellness if given the opportunity to pursue a more natural approach to healing.
I have been in the field of mental health for over 25 years, have traveled and am culturally sensitive. I have a background in dance and theater and enjoy using creative methods to help clients. I facilitate stress management workshops and guide my clients( if desired) through a relaxation routine for stress reduction.
