Throughout my career I have specialized in working with adolescents and their families to address a myriad of adjustment related issues including divorce and trauma. I currently offer individual adult and couples counseling as well. I have expertise in working with families who have had to deal with sexual trauma and the legal system including Child Welfare Services. I aim to help you identify ways in which you can improve your quality of life by becoming more aware of self-defeating patterns so that you can take better charge of your life.

Quality and in depth comprehensive assessment and evaluation with an extensive treatment plan which includes both short and long term goals, detailed map offering steps needed to accomplish goals. Monthly evaluation and group meetings with support systems. Accountability protocols and referrals when needed. Each client is treated as an individual with a unique background and set of biological, psychological, social and spiritual circumstances. Sessions usually consist of a mixture of office, virtual and in home services.

He has a decade of experience and started working as a mental health counselor at Sheppard Pratt Hospital in their Child and Adolescent Day Hospital. He also has experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of mental health disorders.

Life isn't always what we expect it to be. And while family and friends can be great supports, sometimes we need an objective person to talk to who isn't personally connected to us. That's where seeing a therapist can help; you don't have to figure it all out by yourself. I provide a comfortable, caring atmosphere where you can speak freely without fear of judgment. We'll focus on the things that are important to you.

Ideally, clients develop a trust with their therapist to work towards resolving those situations that are causing them stress, pain, discomfort or anxiety. I work extensively with victims of trauma, separation/divorce, and clients dealing with depression, bereavement and anxiety. When people experience severe life stressors and change, it's not uncommon for things to unravel in the shakeup. My passion is bringing healing to those in these seasons of life and to help in supporting and promoting healthy growth and change. I also love teaching and supervision and am on the Maryland Supervisors listing. I have been trained in a range of modalities and am a certified EMDR and TF-CBT therapist with extensive work with Sleep and Dreaming Practices to Heal as a Lucid Dream Facilitator, as well as decades working with grief, attachment theory and trauma.
