After establishing a trusting relationship with my clients, I work towards identifying their issues followed by setting mutually-agreed upon attainable goals; one step at a time. I personally believe that the success gained by smaller increments builds confidence which eventually motivates us to achieve more. My clients set the pace; determining just how quickly or slowly they want to proceed. While some only need a few sessions a month, others prefer a more frequent schedule. As a tele-therapy provider I offer the security of a private, confidential “office” with the ease of “meeting” you anywhere at times convenient to you.

Life is journey. We all experience a myriad of ups and downs across our lifespan. I believe that no emotion is wrong but there are healthy and helpful ways to process them that we can access together. My therapeutic approach is direct and unique to each individual I work with. David believes in not only helping the individual facing challenges, but helping that person also build their supports that are around them outside of session. David is a military veteran who knows the struggle of being trauma informed and also person-centered in care. What works for one, doesn't always work for the other. David believes in treating the person and not the diagnosis because we are not what the words say we are!

I like to think I'm not the typical shrink and am often told, "You're not what I expected." That's a good thing. I'm sarcastic, will probably talk about smoking meats at some point, and love my Detroit Lions. As the owner of Thin Line Psychological Services, I work primarily with public safety employees. If that is you, then you already know the job takes a toll. Many clients contact me because they either see changes in themselves or changes have been pointed out by loved ones and they want to address them before things get worse.
