I'm sarcastic, will probably talk about smoking meats at some point, and love my Detroit Lions. As the owner of Thin Line Psychological Services, I work primarily with public safety employees. Many clients contact me because they either see changes in themselves or changes have been pointed out by loved ones and they want to address them before things get worse. I work with a lot of clients dealing with burnout and feeling "flat" or unemotional when off duty.

I love working with people who are motivated to make significant life change, even if they don't know where or how to begin! I focus on teaching clients to separate thoughts from feelings, tap into their inner core of intuitive awareness, and use their own inner guidance system -- to move toward their goals, and away from old patterns and obstacles to growth. Along the way, we bring in interesting discussions, good books, homework, mindfulness exercises, and of course, some humor!

I practice a person-centered approach where I strive to treat all individuals with respect which promotes autonomy. I provide a respectful, accepting, and empathetic counseling perspective. I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families and I have a special interest with working within the framework of holistic wellness.

Is anxiety an issue? I focus on helping anxious and overthinking people, from the Neurodivergent to those with genetic and generalized anxiety. I also work with depression, mood disorders, and trauma. I teach university courses online, including classes on Psychopharmacology, so I can be an excellent resource for your psychiatrist or general practice doctor in helping you with medications. I also have extensive experience with personality disorders. I am licensed in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Arizona. I also help with life coaching, career coaching, and business coaching. I am known for being compassionate, kind, and an advocate.
