I like to think I'm not the typical shrink and am often told, "You're not what I expected." That's a good thing. I'm sarcastic, will probably talk about smoking meats at some point, and love my Detroit Lions. As the owner of Thin Line Psychological Services, I work primarily with public safety employees. If that is you, then you already know the job takes a toll. Many clients contact me because they either see changes in themselves or changes have been pointed out by loved ones and they want to address them before things get worse. I work with a lot of clients dealing with burnout and feeling "flat" or unemotional when off duty.

Why spend your energy trying to cope with what is, when you could use it to create what you really want? I love working with people who are motivated to make significant life change, even if they don't know where or how to begin! I focus on teaching clients to separate thoughts from feelings, tap into their inner core of intuitive awareness, and use their own inner guidance system -- to move toward their goals, and away from old patterns and obstacles to growth. Along the way, we bring in interesting discussions, good books, homework, mindfulness exercises, and of course, some humor!
