I have written and published several self-help books to help motivate and inspire people. I am licensed in the states of Arizona, North Carolina and Wisconsin.

I have a passion and commitment to assist individuals lead a happier healthier life. My goal is to focus on the overall health and wellness of each person I meet to allow for personal growth and understanding. I have specialized training in areas of anxiety and depression, grief, trauma, crisis intervention, life transitions and work/life stress. I use an open and non-judgemental approach to assist with finding solutions. I am also currently a doctoral student of clinical psychology. I decided to further my education to assist others in a greater capacity.

My motivation working with clients is to assist them to live their best life. I am accepting new clients. I have experience working in a variety of clinical settings treating both mental health and addiction issues simultaneously or separately. I offer court-ordered alcohol and drug assessments, DOT assessments as a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), as well as attorney-ordered assessments. What makes my approach unique, is my ability to adapt treatment to fit your specific needs thereby making a complicated process a little more manageable. When the client can wrap their mind around the problem in a way they've never considered is the beginning point for effective and meaningful therapy.

An ideal client is one who is being just who they are in spite of all the challenges or concerns they may be dealing with. I also have weekend and some evening hours.

For over 15 years, I have had the privilege of counseling people of all ages and backgrounds that have struggled with anxiety, depression, marital conflict, family issues and academic concerns. Over the past five years, I have also started working with clients that have alcohol and drug related problems. Everyone is so unique. Therefore, my therapeutic approach is a nonjudgmental positive regard and it is tailored to fit the individual, couple and/or family. It has been very rewarding to watch so many clients make better choices and live a more full, enriched life. Every day is a new beginning!

Gretchen Poellinger is a LPC-IT and works with adolescents, adults, and families. Gretchen received her undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University – Mankato in Mankato, Minnesota and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winona State University. Over the last 10 years, Gretchen has worked in a variety of settings in the social service field. She has direct experience working with individuals with varying challenges and has provided behavioral management and mental health services to adults, families, and children in the area.
