I have a passion and commitment to assist individuals lead a happier healthier life. My goal is to focus on the overall health and wellness of each person I meet to allow for personal growth and understanding. I have specialized training in areas of anxiety and depression, grief, trauma, crisis intervention, life transitions and work/life stress. I use an open and non-judgemental approach to assist with finding solutions. I am also currently a doctoral student of clinical psychology. I decided to further my education to assist others in a greater capacity.

My passion is helping people through life change, career transition, grief and loss, relationship conflict, health and wellness change, life goals, addiction and recovery, employee conflict and finding purpose and meaning in your life path. I have written and published several self-help books to help motivate and inspire people. I am licensed in the states of Arizona, North Carolina and Wisconsin.

I specialize in providing care to people from diverse backgrounds with unique needs and struggles seeking Individual Counseling ages 18 +. I look forward to helping those who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, adult development, relationship issues, and career and life adjustment issues related to grief, loss, and life changes. Gretchen Poellinger is a LPC-IT and works with adolescents, adults, and families. Gretchen received her undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University – Mankato in Mankato, Minnesota and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winona State University. Over the last 10 years, Gretchen has worked in a variety of settings in the social service field. She has direct experience working with individuals with varying challenges and has provided behavioral management and mental health services to adults, families, and children in the area.

I work with people who are tired of being stuck in their negative thoughts and behaviors and are ready to discover their God-given purpose and start doing it without the use of alcohol or other self-sabotaging behaviors. (it may even be an addiction to food) I specialize in empowering clients to live a spirit-filled life free from addiction. I enjoy doing private retreats with women to help them get unstuck from their life challenges and move forward to a better life.

An ideal client is one who is being just who they are in spite of all the challenges or concerns they may be dealing with. I also have weekend and some evening hours.

I am accepting new clients. I have experience working in a variety of clinical settings treating both mental health and addiction issues simultaneously or separately. I offer court-ordered alcohol and drug assessments, DOT assessments as a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), as well as attorney-ordered assessments. What makes my approach unique, is my ability to adapt treatment to fit your specific needs thereby making a complicated process a little more manageable. When the client can wrap their mind around the problem in a way they've never considered is the beginning point for effective and meaningful therapy.

My motivation working with clients is to assist them to live their best life.
