I have worked as a Program Coordinator at the Boys and Girls Club as well as in residential treatment for children with behavioral challenges in western Massachusetts. The majority of my career was spent at the Department of Children and Families, CPS for the State of Mass. During my 13 years of employment at DCF, I worked in many capacities including management. These experience have helped me to understand Complex Family Dynamics, Governmental Systems, and how they related to Substance Abuse, Mental Health and Community.

Kaimare, known to many as Kai, I was born and raised in the southern most isles of the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago. Devoted to supporting others grow and overcome any challenges they face, I began my career within the field of mental health in 2013 and have gained experience in a variety of clinical roles especially in an outpatient therapy setting where I have worked with hundreds of individuals managing challenges with depression, anxiety, self esteem and more.

My primary goal is to come alongside the client and assist in managing issues that can cause one to feel stuck, overwhelmed or paralyzed while helping clients to move toward a more effective and rewarding life. I am a psychologist who helps adults identify and better understand symptoms or concerns and I teach skills for making adjustments in different areas of life. I work with issues such as depression, anxiety, parent coaching, stress management, emotional regulation skills, major life transitions, peripartum/post-partum anxiety and depression, grief, career counseling, and job burnout. I have particular interest in helping individuals adjust to the illness and death of a child, parent, sibling, friend, or other family member. I received my doctoral education in Family Studies which integrated counseling, sociology, and psychology in understanding and treating major life transitions and family changes.
