Hello, my name is Miguel A. De La Fuente and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have experience working with clients struggling with most mental health obstacles. Throughout my career, I have probably worked with every single situation in the counseling field. I have worked inpatient, outpatient, and telepatient. I have worked in prisons, jails, psychiatric hospitals, IDD facilities, community MHMR, and community counseling centers. My specialties include drug and alcohol addiction, trauma, major depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety, stress, marital problems, anger management, and people with LGBTQ issues.

I specialize in supporting healthcare professionals, nurses, teachers and students with anxiety or depression who are struggling in their career, education or relationships. Many feel stuck, burnt out, angry, and overwhelmed. The chronic stress and compassion fatigue make it hard for them to empathize with patients, students and administrators. Some may prefer to be alone, even though it leads to ruminating over traumatic work experiences and substance use. My clients have demanding jobs, are highly trained and accustomed to solving problems. However, no one is immune to the long-term effects of stress and trauma.
