My name is Rebeca. I am a counselor in Austin, TX that is passionate about helping others overcome challenges that life sometimes throws our way. ​ I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas Pan-American. Hilda Moreno, BA, MEd, MBA, PHD, LPC-S is a Counselor with 30 years of experience with adolescents, adults and children. She is passionate about helping people obtain a balanced life. Dr. Moreno specializes in trauma, grief, career exploration, and adjustment disorder. She worked as a teacher and school counselor for 28 years, a parent trainer for 1 year, and worked with probation clients for 2 years. Her own personal experiences as a person who has attained a terminal degree, a single parent, a divorcee, and someone who has lost a loved one enable her to serve multiple therapeutic needs.

I believe the best counseling is done in a safe, confidential and collaborative environment. It can be difficult to reach out, so it is important to find a counselor with whom you feel comfortable.

Counseling is a process of discovery, learning, healing and growth. I work with individuals to process their thoughts, emotions and relational life. I like clients to take the lead in pursuing the things that are important to them, while I consider it my job to challenge them and help guide the therapeutic process of getting there. My approach is experiential - meaning I like clients to have an experience of change or growth within the sessions they can then take with them into their personal or professional lives.

Sometimes the hardest thing we might do is taking the first step to begin counseling- getting help means we have struggles. The issues we face in life have the ability to deeply damage us, but also the potential for personal growth. Be encouraged that the first step to emotional healing is difficult, but it's worth taking. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2014 and a Master of Education degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University in 2017.
