I've worked with people of all ages across the lifespan. Throughout my career I have worked with people of all ages managing experiences of depression, anxiety, addiction, technology, trauma, and abuse. I am "geek" and LBGTQ+ friendly and have experience with people from diverse cultural, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. I also have extensive experience working with people and families managing chronic illness, hospice and palliative care, and end of life decisions. With affirmation, practical education, and clinical guidance, I help individuals gain personal insights, nurture relationships, and manage difficulties in their lives.

I come to the therapeutic relationship with authenticity and openness so clients feel at ease. I believe in the power of acknowledging the challenges everyone faces and seeing the inherent strengths each individual possesses. I strive to both validate what is being experienced as well as be creative in supporting clients to build skills to live more from their centered self. It is my goal to support people through whatever they may be facing, help them build tools to feel more balanced, and be more empowered in their lives.

As a Mental Health Practitioner, I work with adults addressing a variety of concerns including addictions, eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, stress management, depression, self-esteem, career, life transitions, grief/loss and relationship issues.

I focus on my client's strengths and core values, and collaborate with them to find their own answers. I believe in the power of choice, and that learning how to make good choices is key. Clients often say after working with me that they feel encouraged, empowered and able to face their fears, and they understand that fear is a choice, not a necessity. I assist clients in working through their personal barriers, so that they can be successful, present and happy in their lives and the lives of their families.

I've been working with adults and teens for over 47 years. My approach is empathic, direct, and thoughtful. Given I have a wide background in my training, I adapt my therapeutic approach to your needs. I find that effective therapy is a collaborative approach where we work together to understand your concerns, their origins and most importantly what can be done to bring about both the internal and behavioral changes that will be beneficial to you. My goal in therapy is to help integrate your shame and vulnerabilities into a healthy identity grounded in self-esteem and pride.

No matter our background, our journey through life encounters major transitions. Those transitions have a way of making us doubt ourselves. As we try to navigate a new world (whether it is starting school, a new job or life in a new world), we come to know ourselves in ways that we never thought possible. Working with clients ages 18+, I operate from a heavily client centered and eclectic lens, preferring to meet clients where they’re at rather than using one specific modality of treatment. I have training in DBT, CBT, trauma work, substance use disorders, and beyond and experience treating adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. My areas of professional focus include - life transitions - personal growth - career development - medical professional stress and burnout.

Jackie is passionate about helping others succeed in improving their mental health and chemical health symptoms so they can live an optimal healthy life. She utilizes Positive Psychology concepts and Motivational Interviewing which are both a form of strength-based approaches. Motivational Interviewing has been defined as “a collaborative, person-centered form of guiding to elicit and strengthen motivation to change”. Jackie also uses an informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). I work with individuals and teens in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence and substance abuse. Christina enjoys working with individuals, couples and families helping support them in making changes they want to make. She has her B.A. in Sociology and Diversity Studies from SCSU and her M.S. in MHC from Walden University. She is an LPCC, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of MN. Christina has worked 10 years in clinical counseling. She has 24 additional years working with children, and families with services that are person-centered, strength-based and therapeutic. She has worked in foster and long-term residential based programs, as well as crisis, substance abuse treatment, vocational and education areas.

I am a straightforward, innovative therapist with an outstanding track record for helping my clients live healthy productive lives. We are a Private Group Practice that adolescents and adults provide therapy to individuals with the diagnosis of anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar, self-image/esteem, gambling, difficulty adjusting to life stress, and trauma. We hold a dual license and experience in both mental health and chemical dependency.
