My client population ranges from teens into late adulthood and focuses on chronic stress, depression, grief and loss, acute and complex trauma, and life transitions. In addition, I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to aid clients in connecting to their internal world and recognizing their thoughts and behaviors without judgment, so they can live a more fulfilling life. I am also trained and informed in positive psychotherapy and solution-focused therapy approaches.

I am a creative and caring professional holding a master in counseling psychology degree and a certificate in child and adolescent counseling. I love making therapy a positive experience that leaves clients feeling happy and excited to come back the next week. My practice is focused on therapy with kids, teens, adults, and families. I use play therapy, Theraplay(tm), and Whole Brain Child interventions to reach kids and teens. I am passionate about serving mothers in Kansas City, especially mothers within the BIPOC & Latinx community. Social justice is an important issue in our world, and work needs to be done to continue to build up systemically oppressed individuals who don't yet have the knowledge & resources to advocate for themselves. I believe that every individual is born with the strength & resilience that is required when facing life's challenges & difficulties.
