A myriad of reasons can lead someone to therapy. What if you aren't necessarily struggling, but you just want to know yourself better? Maybe you're an intellectually curious person who's tried to make sense of things for a while, but you aren't necessarily ill. Therapists can be unsure how to work with this as they're often pathology-based. Philosophy, which ponders the deeper "whys" of things, can help--but it can be overwhelming without a guide. We, as a team, can examine where you are and where you want to go.

I approach the therapeutic relationship from a client-centered lens with an integrative treatment approach. This means that I work with each client to develop a unique treatment plan to address their specific needs. I do not utilize a one size fits all approach and I believe that the client is just as important in this process as the therapist is. I examine all aspects of a client’s perspective including the systems that impact them. Treating the whole person is an important aspect for me in my therapeutic engagement with clients. I believe that every person has value and is worthy of kindness.

Hello! My name is Eric Westman and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College. Prior to receiving my Masters degree, I attended Palm Beach Atlantic University where I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology. I am passionate about coming alongside people from all cultures, life stages, and backgrounds, as they work through difficult seasons in their life. Nothing brings me greater happiness than helping my clients feel empowered and fulfilled.

As a clinician, it is important for me to establish a safe and collaborative environment in which you feel heard, valued, and seen in the midst of your journey. I am passionate about seeing emotional healing, reflective insight, personal awareness, and meaningful growth in my clients. I include trauma, social justice, multicultural, and family lenses to witness this. I am also enthusiastic about encouraging a holistic approach to health and wellness as part of the progress toward wholeness.
