I have personal and professional experience with complex trauma which has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of trauma and the human experience. I am bilingual (Spanish and English) and offer in person counseling and telehealth. I have experience working with Spiritual Trauma survivors, Complex trauma, First Responders, Veterans, LGBTQIA2S+ community, and la comunidad Latina.

My counseling style is family-centered, and blends a variety of therapeutic elements. Goals in therapy include self-actualization - setting & achieving personal goals that will help you realize your full potential. As a Veteran, I also specialize in PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and in Men’s issues. I enjoy creating a safe space where men can explore and share emotions/feelings. I work with individuals experiencing a range of symptoms: addiction, anxiety, chronic stress, depression, grief, impulse control, obsessive-compulsive, sleep disturbances, and relationship issues.

I identify as a queer person of color and hope to best serve those communities who feel underrepresented in professional fields. Common areas that I work with are trauma, gender identity and expression, career related difficulties, couples/interpersonal relationship issues, and mood/anxiety disorders. I work heavily with the linguistic ways we approach "problems" and through a narrative and solutions focused approach we would work on restoring your sense freedom as you navigate life's difficulties.

Rome wasn't built in a day" is often a quote I attach to therapy. Therapy is building a vision for yourself that you're happy with that will keep you going from day to day. Life is often seen as half empty or half full and it's my job to help you see that life has all sorts of unexpected positives.
