There is often underlying attachment trauma with codependency. I address this using a somatic (body)-based psychotherapy that heals these wounds at the deepest level. I am trained in Hakomi and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. My ideal client is someone who is ready to change, is self-aware and self-reflective - someone who is committed to their own growth and development, and willing to put in the time and energy it takes to create a life they love.

I work from a strengths-based perspective; I view you as resourceful and resilient in the face of adversity. I also approach therapy from a psychodynamic orientation, which examines how early life experiences shape our coping skills. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which can help you reframe unhelpful and/or untrue thoughts that may be holding you back from being your most authentic and best self.

I find that life transitions can be overwhelming and feel lonely. I started off as a postgraduate career counselor then moved on to school counseling (elementary and high school) then therapy with both parolees and inmates in one of the state prisons.
