We all have challenges. Admittedly some are objectively harder than others but our own challenges are unique to each of us and can seem devastating from our perspective. I would like to help you work through yours. I am not going to give you platitudes. Instead, I want to help you learn to accept, cope, cry if you need to, and then get back up! It’s not easy, but you can do hard things! As a college professor, and my background in medicine, my natural instinct is to make sure you understand both the biological and psychological reasons behind your troubles and then we work together to put YOU back in control of your life.

I’m humbled to be able to listen to clients’ stories, instill hope into their narrative, and find greater strength and resilience in the next chapter. Katie Landon is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), with experience working with foster youth, domestic violence victims, and neurodiverse clients. She utilizes an array of treatment approaches including solution-focused, CBT, DBT, inner-child work, mindfulness, attachment work, and play therapy. She loves working with clients of all ages. She fosters each client’s emotional needs, and takes into consideration trauma history, as well as cultural and societal influences. She also believes in the value of holistic health and healing, which entails the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a private practice located off the 101 and Shea Blvd. I belong to the American Counseling Association (ACA), American Christian Counseling Association (AACC) and a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I served on the Board of the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (2013-2019), and as Chairman from (2014-2016, 2017-2018). I was also on the Behavioral Health Rules Subcommittee, Personnel Subcommittee and Counseling Credentialing Committees. I currently volunteer at Scottsdale Bible Church and am an Adjunct Professor at Phoenix Seminary teaching Ethics.
