Many times these losses are compounded over time building compounded trauma. Insights offers EMDR, creative expression, & psychotherapy to help you normalize uncomfortable feelings and cope with changes and to further integrate trauma. A child may move to a new school, have parents separate. Sometimes we experience a traumatic event. These things impact us, they shape our story. You are struggling. Your life isn’t what you want it to be. We can help! We specialize in anxiety, depression, couples issues, addictions, sleep problems, concussion, ADD, and trauma. We are friendly and goal oriented. I have 25 years experience with adults, teens, and children. And, if you wish, we can also use Neurofeedback training. I taught Neurofeedback at San Francisco State University. This modality teaches you to change brainwave patterns that keep you from being your best. I’ve written three books, including a new one on enhancing brain function.

I have several years of experience working with individuals. I combine insight, depth, and humanistic approaches to therapy and utilize dream work, as a way of looking deeper. If you are like most people these challenges may leave you feeling overwhelmed, depressed or anxious! You may be wanting to talk with someone you can trust; someone from whom you can really get help. Most people find that speaking with a Counselor who understands their situation and who has the experience to provide them with insight and specific skills can help to gently guide them to the peace and happiness they want and deserve.

I am passionate about helping people find a pathway through difficult times by validating their experiences, identifying unhelpful patterns, finding new solutions, and working towards healing. Healing is a process that requires feeling safe in a caring, non-judgmental environment. Each person has their own story to make sense of, and befriend. I am here to provide a down to earth approach and trusting space for you to expand your awareness, coping skills, problem solving, and distress tolerance. Being heard and feeling understood can help in all our other relationships.
