Hi! I am so happy that you are here and reading my personal statement. This means that you are one step closer to attaining your goals and embarking on a therapeutic journey. I am excited and honored to support you on this path towards growth and wellness. I know that changes are hard, but I am hoping that throughout our collaboration, we can work through these changes and processes together to improve your quality of life and help you build skills that can support your day to day functions.

You are struggling. Your life isn’t what you want it to be. We can help! We specialize in anxiety, depression, couples issues, addictions, sleep problems, concussion, ADD, and trauma. We are friendly and goal oriented. I have 25 years experience with adults, teens, and children. And, if you wish, we can also use Neurofeedback training. I taught Neurofeedback at San Francisco State University. This modality teaches you to change brainwave patterns that keep you from being your best. I’ve written three books, including a new one on enhancing brain function.

I specialize in OCD and Anxiety Disorders such as, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety/Social Phobia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Specific Phobias. My approach in working with clients is integrative, combining the theories of exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and acceptance modalities. I'm passionate about helping individuals achieve their therapeutic goals and strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental setting for my clients. I think it's important to provide clients with the skills needed, and the support needed, to make changes in their lives that are in alignment with their personal values and priorities.

Life is a journey. I am not here to judge. I am here as a guide. I counsel individuals, couples, and teenagers in a safe, honest and "down-to-earth" manner. I work inside a comfortable, private office providing traditional psychotherapy. For those clients that would like a more experiential approach, I also take therapy outside with Walk and Talk Therapy. Individual clients accompany me on a two-hour light hike/walk that combines movement, nature and psychotherapy. For those who are too busy to leave their home or office, I provide on-line counseling as well. I am eager to meet you and honored to help.
