Having a former 25-year career working for a Fortune 100 Company, I also bring real life experiences to the session. I treat emotional trauma through two specific and powerful therapies called IFS and EMDR.

Kim graduated from the University of Alabama in 2010 with a focus on marriage and family therapy and counselor education. Kimberly has worked in substance abuse settings, which provides her the opportunity to assist clients with a range of issues. Kimberly also has a background in juvenile justice, domestic violence, family therapy, anger management, and mood disorders. Kimberly prefers to approach therapy with the idea that the client is an expert in their own life and has the ultimate capacity for change.

I have worked with children, adolescents, families, and adults for over 20 years. This has given me experience in school settings, both in the elementary and high school areas, as well as, a mental health setting which implemented a team approach to care including psychiatrists, nurses, and psychotherapists. I have gained valuable experience in treating various disorders, as well as issues within families. Although I have worked in a variety of settings, my goal has remained constant: do all I can to encourage people to feel valued, to know they are cared about, and to feel empowered to act from their own inner wisdom.
