As an LCPC in Maryland, I specialize in treating kids and adults who experience varied roadblocks in life. I take a collaborative approach to counseling and therapy, in that you and I will together determine your best treatment, and I have a deep respect for your courage in seeking help. Issues may include anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD, school difficulties, PTSD, relationship concerns, disordered personality traits, women’s issues, addiction, codependency, grief, disordered eating, family of origin difficulties, attachment, LGBTQ, transgender, trauma and abuse, parenting, self-esteem, and career difficulties, among others.

It is not easy being young, I know, I have been there. It can be painful when no one will listen or care about your problems, they have their own. As a native of Baltimore City, graduate of Baltimore City Schools and a retired Counselor of Baltimore City Schools, I believe I have the expertise to help others conquer obstacles in life. We are a client-oriented counseling (traditional, modern, holistic, and spiritual), coaching, and medication management practice. We put our clients' well-being first and together we work on and identify what solutions will work best for them, their lifestyle, and their healing proces/ change journey.

I use a variety of techniques to match the needs of each client throughout each session. I primarily use DBT, ACT, and IFS therapeutic modalities. These techniques emphasize mindfulness, personal strengths, resilience, and choice. Additionally, I use compassion and explore my clients’ values to gently challenge them to find more effective ways of getting their needs met. At times I use improv, humor, and a conversational and dynamic therapeutic style to create a judgment-free, supportive, and safe environment; disarming the self-critic; and allowing my clients to express themselves freely.

I work with all individuals and in particular those who are members of marginalized communities such as but not limited to hearing impaired, women, single moms, and those reentering society who seek a safe, compassionate, environment to address their mental health needs.
