Individuals of every ethnicity, culture, age, and background go through many life transitions, and as a therapist, Bizu works with clients to grow and examine their strengths in a nurturing, safe, and understanding environment. Whether it’s in their relationships, work, or identity, she helps them navigate their experiences with self-awareness and self-efficacy towards balanced well-being. Clients have expressed challenges with adjustment and anxiety from relocating, to job exploration, to the intersections of who they are, and Bizu supports all with care for the whole person.

As a professional mental health counselor, Jennifer aims to support and facilitate growth and resiliency as well as assist in processing, managing, and improving healing strategies for her clients. Clients will work collaboratively to improve current concerns in a compassionate and confidential environment. Jennifer’s professional counseling experience reflects inclusive work with the diverse population of the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Her clinical experience involves individual, family, couples, and group therapy.

We are glad you are here. We are Whitney and Tiffany we are licensed, mental health therapists. Starting therapy doesn't always have to be in the moment of crisis but re-gaining harmony in your life. We specialize in helping black millennial-aged women through pivotal life transitions such as pregnancy, infertility challenges, postpartum, parenting, career, and relationships. We believe in helping women deconstruct the emotional toll of pregnancy and postpartum to thrive without feeling guilty. We also offer therapeutic groups, clinical supervision, and parental leave coaching.

NOTE: I am currently accepting clients who are interested in EMDR work. As a licensed professional counselor, I work with young adults and adults seeking progress and healing in anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, substance use, life transitions, and career development. I am trained in EMDR, and I look to support clients who desire to gain insights into past events impacting current life experiences. Whether you seek a compassionate space to reflect, grow, or heal, I will take the time and care to support your journey.

I am passionate about working with all minorities in society, including LGBTQ+ folx. I have experience working through taboo topics, trauma, racial identity and women's issues, and am vocal about my stance on social justice when necessary. I use an integrative approach to therapy to tailor sessions to the specific needs of each of my clients. I am humanistic, person-centered in my approach and facilitate interpersonal relational work. I am always strength based and really enjoy working with Black folx & people of color, but I am willing to work with anyone who is ready to work through current life stressors in non judgmental space.
