Hello. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 18 years of experience in mental health. My career began after receiving my bachelors in psychology from TCNJ in 2005. I started as a case manager at a community mental health facility and then decided to pursue my masters.

I’m passionate about not just guiding others through some of life’s most testing situations, but doing so all while ensuring they feel heard, safe, and respected as they shift from feelings of uncertainty to a state of rebuild. I've had the opportunity to work alongside a diverse range of individuals and later pursued couples therapy with an additional focus in life stressors and career transitions.

I am a bi-lingual, Spanish speaking, bi-cultural psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of depression and anxiety issues, including general worry and career anxiety. I work flexibly and openly with clients to identify treatment goals, and map out a strategy to achieve them. Together, we find practical and creative solutions to the problems that bring you to treatment. Recognizing the inseparable connection between the mind and body, I regularly incorporate mindfulness practice into our work.

I view therapy as a collaborative process. Through our relationship, I will learn about your strengths and challenges and help bring you an awareness of both. We will also work on reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression or other roadblocks that are hurting your relationships or preventing you from achieving the things you aspire to. I'm interested in helping you challenge your negative assumptions and/or limitations about yourself.

I am an empathetic and practical therapist who helps adults and adolescents address anxiety, depression, stress, career and sports performance issues, and relationship issues in a thoughtful, emotionally sensitive, and logical way. I work to establish a strong and supportive therapeutic partnership to help clients better understand themselves and the experiences they are going through, and develop a skill set to address current and future challenges. My work as a therapist is informed by my 20 years of experience in the education field as a teacher and principal and as an athletic coach at the college, high school and club level.
