I work very well with adolescents and teens that struggle with ADHD, Anxiety or Depression. Beyond diagnosis, something I see very often in our youth today is a struggle to attain motivation, purpose and meaning in their lives. It makes sense; we are inundated every day with media that tells us we should be scared of the future. My approach to therapy has been helpful for the clients I serve to understand who they are, where they're going and who they want to be. For my younger clients, I work closely with child and family to achieve the therapeutic goals of parents while empowering the child through a sense of personal agency.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy, based on the needs of the child and their family to work toward their goals of treatment. I practice Child-Centered and Synergistic Play Therapy with younger children, and employ Dialectical-Behavioral, Strengths-Based and Existential approaches with adolescents and teens.
