There is plenty in the world right now to stimulate anxiety and fear. As a parent trying to help your kid thrive, as a teenager trying to develop your own identity, or as a new mom trying to navigate impossible expectations, you feel worn down. And while the world might be out of your control, your life doesn't have to be. In my ten years of experience in the field (first in New Orleans and then NYC), I have come to understand that therapy is the opportunity to foster the resilience that is already within you. And that is best accomplished by working closely with a therapist who "clicks" with you.

I specialize in work with teens, young adults, and new parents. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health and Trauma-Focused CBT. At the end of the day, though, I believe that the success of therapy is most dependent on the fit of therapist and client.

In such a chaotic time, self-care can feel difficult or even futile. But that chaos is the very reason you must take care of yourself. While I specialize in helping young people and parents navigate the transitions they face, I also enjoy and have significant experience working with couples as well.
