I am an early childhood and family therapist specializing in pregnancy and children birth to 5 years old. I enjoy working with women who are pregnant, preparing for family life and/or coping with fertility issues. I also work with families on issues of parenting, adjusting to family life, improving behavior in young children, attachment related issues, and coping with the unexpected realities of family life. I am honored to support families who have experienced pregnancy/birth trauma such as a NICU admission or loss of a baby. I work in both the office and home-based. FB page and closed FB group for parents @babieskidsandparents.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy utilizing interventions ranging from psychoeducation, parenting skills training, EMDR for trauma therapy, CBT, and meditation/relaxation. I facilitate groups for parents who are coping with the realities of parenting, as well as depression, anxiety or PTSD symptoms. I also support survivors of narcissistic abuse.
I am bi-lingual English/Spanish. I welcome discussion of your faith and spiritual beliefs as it relates to your overall emotional well-being and am happy to work with any family regardless of how you came to be one (same-sex parents, adoption, surrogacy, etc)

More about this group

After the NICU: A support group for parents

This group is intended to support parents (or other adult family members) who have had a baby in the NICU. The trauma effect of the NICU experience is often buried while the a baby is in the NICU and once the baby and family go home and get settled, the emotion of the that experience bubbles up. This group is a safe place to talk about those experiences, emotions and how they may continue to effect you, your partner, and your family today.
