I am a charismatic, dynamic, and dedicated therapist who offers individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to "traditional" therapy, I now also offer EMDR therapy - an effective, evidence-based treatment for patients with a history of trauma. My experience as an Emergency Crisis Intervention Clinician has enhanced my ability to rapidly engage with clients, develop immediate treatment and safety plans, increase clients' coping skills, conduct risk assessments as needed, and provide psychoeducation and advocacy.
As a Crisis Clinician I worked with suicidal, homicidal, and self-injurious youth. In addition to unsafe and disruptive behaviors, presenting problems included peer/family conflict, school refusal, self-esteem issues, education problems, substance use/dependence, and court/legal involvement.
With multiple providers, New Beginnings Behavioral Health allows clients and families to receive services conveniently. We offer groups including: Uniformed Services Peer Council, Veterans Group, Kids Group, and TREM -Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model. The Teen Girls and LGBTQ groups are Inactive, pending interest/members.
