Hello. I’m Jean Mach, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have over twenty-five years experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families to facilitate personal growth, self awareness, and improved interpersonal functioning. In my experience the collaborative therapeutic relationship, a partnership between client and therapist, is the basic foundation for promoting change. The therapeutic goals of each client determine which therapeutic approach (or what combination of approaches) is more helpful.
I use a Person Centered approach to assist clients toward their goals. With a Family Systems orientation I guide individuals and families toward shifts in their thinking: Understanding of self and others improves; personal strengths and problem-solving abilities develop.
Some struggles in our lives are more challenging than others.
