About

I support individuals, couples, and families around diverse experiences such as issues with substances, depression, anxiety, identity development, and other life challenges. With training in intimate partner violence, unhealthy relationships, and body-based interventions, I take a trauma-informed approach to therapy; ensuring a comfortable environment for clients in which to delve into tough experiences and make changes in life through introspection, understanding, and empowerment.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solutions-Focused Therapy (SFT), and mindfulness-based interventions, and use an eclectic approach that allows each client’s needs to take the center of a therapy session.
In safe & comfortable sessions that welcome authenticity and vulnerability, we will create goals and collaboratively find ways to attain them. As we increase our understanding of your inner world and the world around you, we’ll take steps to bring you to the person you want to be.

Capri Izzo's Groups

Sexual Trauma Survivors Group

This is a long-term, open process group for female survivors of sexual trauma that incorporates some skill-building, grounding techniques and body-centered interventions when appropriate. Participants can expect to 1) Discuss their experiences with other women who understand 2) Hear other women's stories 3) Explore how the trauma continues to impact their present-day life (friendships, romantic relationships, sex, work, etc) 4) Learn ways to better cope with traumatic symptoms. My colleague, Mariya Sirman, LPC, runs this group. Please email admin@ciracenter.org if you are interested in joining. Currently virtual.
