About
I'm the clinical director of CCPW, I'm also a clinical psychologist and sex therapist. The center is DC's most comprehensive holistic mental health and wellness center providing psychotherapy, dietitian services, acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, and licensed massage therapy. My areas of specialized focus include working within the LGBTQ community, addictions, eating disorders, and group therapy. I provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. My approach and that of the Center's is extremely client centered, meaning we focus on meeting your needs, from onsite office management, ease in location, and comprehensive services that make this a one stop center.
My theoretical orientation is quite eclectic. I am trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy, and incorporate psychoanalytic, feminist, humanistic, and other modalities that allow me to adapt to the needs of my clients. I alter my approach based off each individual and focus on treating a person not a disorder.
Our team works very closely with one another and collaborate on shared clients on a regular basis. To ease transition to other modalities, we often will sit in together on an initial evaluation in order to ensure pertinent psychological concerns are communicated.

LGBTQ Identified Addictions Group
A weekly process oriented non 12-step based psychotherapy group that focuses initially on harm reduction with clients and all members identifying within the LGBTQ community and are motivated to change their relationship with the addictive drug/alcohol/behavior of choice.
Gay/Bisexual Men's Group
A weekly process oriented psychotherapy group for male identified gay/bisexual men. Topics often covered include coming out, relationships, body image, addictions, sex and sexuality, gender identity, coping with general life stress.
Women's Group
A weekly process oriented psychotherapy group for female identified clients. Ranges of concerns explored include relationships, sex, sexuality, family of origin conners, identity development, body image concerns, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and within group dynamics.
