Welcome to Canela Counseling, where compassionate care meets professional expertise! I'm Katherine Ramirez, a bilingual licensed mental health counselor providing virtual care in New York. I help children, teens, and adults overcome anxieties and build stronger senses of selves. I founded Canela Counseling in 2024 to provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive care to underrepresented communities across New York.
My practice offers individual, family, and group therapy services in both English and Spanish. I use an eclectic approach including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Internal Family Systems to treat concerns such as anxiety, phobias, and trauma-related conditions in an empathic and effective manner.
