I believe every person can move beyond "coping" with their mental health and move towards actual healing. Trying harder is rarely the answer. I believe most people are trying everything they know -and as hard as they can to manage. ART, EMDR and IFS promote actual HEALING, beyond just coping.
I specialize in anxiety, depression and PTSD. I have extensive experience with individuals with Borderline personality disorder. My 15 years of experience -including 10 years supervising other clincians has given me the unique experience of teaching and learning from dozens of other clinicians.
Asking for help is hard. Overcoming the idea that if I read enough, or talk it out is enough is important and hard. Often we fear that if we talk about those traumatic events, our feelings, that it will make it worse. EMDR/ART and IFS help get beyond this.
