About
I have worked with clients in numerous locations in the US and Europe. I have provided therapy in a variety of settings: community mental health, foster care group practices, military bases, hospitals, and in-private practice. I enjoy helping people work through early life traumas that still impact their current situation. My hope is that all clients can have better connections with others, have a sense of purpose in their life, and experience more fun. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and groups age 12 and up and lead a SELF ESTEEM SAILING GROUP.
Specialties include: working with trauma, relationship issues, family dynamics, chemical dependency and military families, I have been trained in hypnosis and EMDR. I enjoy using therapeutic techniques to include:, Reality therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Gottman Relationship theory.
I believe that it is important to assist clients in defining their goals for therapy. What gets in the way of achieving those goals, and discovering new ways to succeed. I believe when you work with me over time, you will feel that I value, respect and care about you. I will not judge you. I believe it is possible to achieve calm, even in chaos.
