I grew up in Las Vegas, NV, in a big, blended family.
During my internship and following graduation, I worked at an inpatient treatment facility for teens dealing with high suicidality, self-harming behaviors, and psychosis. It was during this time that I began to recognize how much work can be done to prevent crises before they strike, rather than trying to figure it all out afterward. Also, it isn't just big things like suicide that can be prevented-working to decrease stress, anxiety, and increase fulfillment... these are worthwhile too.
If you feel nervous/weird/awkward/anxious about therapy, that’s normal.
The first appointment is an "intake appointment." I will ask you questions to learn more about you, and we will discuss your treatment goals and what you would like to focus on.
You will receive an email and/or text with a link to our appointment. You can use a mobile device, tablet, or computer. Aside from that, the only thing you need for our appointment is you! Dress comfortably, be somewhere where you feel comfortable talking, and that’s all you need.
