My name is Celeste, and I am licensed through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have experience utilizing Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, EMDR, and Positive Psychology to address multiple issues stemming from depression, anxiety, substance use, phobias, grief, relationships, trauma, chronic pain, low self-esteem, and other life experiences.

I have had the pleasure of companioning adults through life's challenges. In particular, I specialize in those seeking help navigating loss. That loss could be of a person, companion animal, or other loved one... or, any number of other non-physical death losses. Loss of dreams, dreams and those plans we have are included! My favorite word in therapy is ambivalence: having mixed feelings! Sometimes it is wanting one thing and also wanting the other. Learning to navigate mixed emotions is a key piece of growth in therapy. I work in private practice virtually part time, and my full time position is at Nexus Teen Academy.

I have worked for many years with individuals and couples at all stages of life who are motivated to constructively change their lives and attempt to live medication free if possible through understanding of their past traumatic experiences and growth toward healthy and constructive behavioral change .

Though I specialize in trauma therapies and often treat abuse, rape, and first responders, military, PTSD, and other traumas, I have years treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, relationship issues, bi-polar, PTSD, stress management and other issues. I do specialized therapy to treat childhood trauma, sexual assaults, First Responders, military, and others with trauma. I want someone who is willing to work to rid themselves of those demons that haunt their life and prevent them from moving forward. My favorite quote is "I never said it would be easy, only that it would be worth it."

McGady and Associates Psychological Services (MAAPS) provides a variety of clinical, forensic, consultation, supervision, and training services to the greater phoenix area. Clinical services include individual, couples', and family psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults to address a wide array of issues including depression, anxiety, parenting issues, anger issues, trauma and more. Psychological evaluations are another service provided by MAAPS to assist with diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. The types of evaluations offered include comprehensive, autism diagnostic and psychosexual evaluations.
