About
Are you feeling overwhelmed, confused, or stressed by your child's behaviors? I am passionate about working with infants, children, and their families. I specialize in early childhood disorders such as anxiety, defiance, impulsivity, family and relationship issues, emotional regulation, school behaviors, sensory-processing, and traumatic experiences and transitions. I draw upon several treatment modalities, including attachment-based theories which focus on strengthening the bond, attachment, and relationship between child and caregivers, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and play-therapy.
I believe children use their behaviors to tell us how they are feeling and experiencing the world around them. I respond to the individual needs of the family, recognizing that parents remain the most important influence in their child's life. I also provide support to caregivers of infants to increase early attunement, attachment, and bonding.
My office is utilized as a playroom in which children are encouraged to tell their stories and experiences through play in an environment that is caring, nurturing, and safe.
