I offer psychotherapy for women of all ages who are seeking to build genuine, abiding self-esteem, often through recovery from relational disappointments and traumas as well as from self-destructive/self-betraying behavior. I specialize in working with women of reproductive age who are exploring their big picture and purpose: defining personal standards and boundaries, finding and nurturing familial and communal commitments, and consciously considering their potential for and/or feelings about fertility. Women’s lives won’t all look the same. But we all deserve to engage deeply with the questions that are our birthright!
To this end, I often support clients in exploring the psychological dimensions of the distinctly female body-soul experiences, including the menstrual cycle; living with and relating to fertility and infertility; pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum; all forms of perinatal loss; mothering; and perimenopause and menopause.
By connecting with and embracing both the vulnerability and the power of their female existence, women can encounter profound truth and peace about the nature of their lives, and all of human life. I believe that woman-to-woman support serves a special, fruitful function in this feminine journey, and I am passionate about offering such support to my clients.
