As your therapist, my commitment to you is to show up authentically human and always remain anchored in warmth, without judgement, and accepting of you with curiosity and flexibility. I find fulfillment through partnering with individuals who are ready to see a change in their lives, whatever that change may be. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy, so I prioritize collaboration, partnership, and the connection between us to find your path of evolution together.
My approach is adaptive and client-centered, meaning that I will meet you where and how you are, with evidence-based foundations in EMDR (formally trained), ACT, Mindfulness-Based CBT, and parts work, oriented by psychodynamic, systems, and attachment theories. I specialize in substance use and addiction-related concerns as a Licensed Addiction Counselor.
As a professor of mine once described, we must find a way to be like the buffalo: when the other animals run away, the buffalo knows to turn toward the storm and charge through it in order to get to clearer skies.
